PRODUCTION REGULATIONS

As early as the early 1970s, Trentino wine producers adhered to the rules of the Denominazione di Origine Controllata (Controlled Designation of Origin). In 1971, Trentino DOC was the first to protect wines made from grapes harvested in vineyards protected by strict regulations.

The controlled designation of origin is the result of a patient winemaking process that respects the origin of the grapes, the cultivation methods, the yields per hectare, the cellar practices, and the organoleptic requirements of the wines themselves. The vineyards of Trentino are also protected by the Typical Geographical Indication (IGT).
